From the Fourth of July to the Tzofim Caravan, this week has been amazing for our units!

K’tanim

K’tanim just finished up our second week and the first session of K’tanim with it. While we were sad to have some of our friends leave, we were glad to end this session with such an amazing week! On Tuesday we celebrated the Fourth of July, dressed in our red white and blue. Then Wednesday we had a blast swimming at Bosque for trip day! On top of that we went on a hike at Teva, celebrated Shabbat, and ended the week singing songs with the Israeli scouts of the Tzofim Caravan! We can’t wait to have more fun with our new friends this week!

Bonim

Bonim had a great time this week! We have had a blast getting to know our Olim buddies better, and we especially loved swimming in the pool and hanging out at the Fourth of July Carnival with them. On Friday, we lead Shabbat t’fillah. Through art, song, dance and readings, we taught camp about turning curses into blessings, inspired by the story of Balak and Balaam in the Torah! On Sunday afternoon, about 30 of us from Drama and Music chugim took a special trip to Tanglewood to see the Boston Symphony Orchestra perform. We are so excited for Trip Day coming up this week!

Chalutzim

Chalutzim had an amazing week! We have been swimming at the lake, working in ceramics, and learning about different Jewish values in Limud. This week, we celebrated our 11th birthday as a unit, showed off our talents during the Chacademy Awards, cheered at the Fourth of July Carnival, and helped the Scooby Gang solve a mystery. We are so excited for the next week, especially for Trip Day and Chalutzim’s turn to lead Shabbat services.

Ofarim

It’s hard to believe, but Ofarim’s second week at Eisner was even better than the first! We got new activities throughout the day, some of them being biking, baseball, and adventure! On Tuesday, we celebrated the Fourth of July with an Eisner carnival that had all sorts of fun things such as cotton candy, snow cones and a dunk tank. We ended the night with an all-American song session. Throughout the week, some of us attended either Teva, our outdoor camping experience, and our lower ropes adventure experience all to bond and have new fun experiences with our bunk. Despite the inconsistent Berkshire rain, we topped off our amazing week with a beautiful Shabbat service in our Beit T’filah (outdoor sanctuary) all dressed in white. We are looking forward to another fun week at camp!

Chaverim

Chaverim’s second week at camp was amazing! We all tried new activities like biking, ceramics, soccer, and digital media. In the evening, we celebrated the “wedding” of our unit heads, Adam and Adi, participated in an amazing talent show, and enjoyed the Tzofim Friendship Caravan that visited camp. It was so cool to celebrate our first Fourth of July as Upper Campers! Tomorrow we leave for our overnight trip to Lake George- we can’t wait to tell you all about our trip when we get back!

Tzofim

Tzofim had a great week at camp! Some of our bunks participated in overnight Teva experiences, getting to hike, cook camp fire food, and sleep in tents under the stars. The Fourth of July Carnival was so much fun. We especially loved the dunk tank, inflatables, and marriage booth! We also had some great counselor-led chugim including “Spy Kids,” a sneaky activity around camp. Looking ahead to this coming week, we are so excited for our upcoming trip to Cape Cod and the All Camp Dance!

Olim

Olim had a busy week here at Eisner camp. We went through “College of the Hill” orientation, practicing studying for finals, rooting for our school’s team, and hanging out with friends. We had so much fun at buddy swim, where we got to splash around in the pool with our Bonim buddies! Many of us have been spending lots of time working on the Olim Show, a play that we write, produce, and perform all about camp. Today we leave for Montreal and we can’t wait to go ice skating at L’Atrium, ride the roller coasters at Le Ronde, and eat a Vermonster at Ben & Jerry’s!
