We love our lake at Eisner Camp!

The lake has always been a popular destination for boating, and for the past few years, it’s also become widely used for playing and jumping around on giant inflatables. The lake is packed with people during Breira (free time) every day.

Lake has become so popular that starting this summer, every unit will have some time to play there during their swim period each week.

Chalutzim campers Asher and Adam enjoy going to the lake together. “I like the obstacle course and that the lake cools you off on a hot day,” Asher said.

Adam chimed in, “I like the boats because they’re fun and I don’t really get to do that at home.”

Additionally, the toys on the lake are a hot commodity, with Olim camper Ossian calling the lake inflatables “pretty spectacular.”

“Working at the lake is rewarding because the kids have so much fun playing around out there,” says Michael Blackwood, this summer’s Assistant Waterfront Director. “Camp put a lot of time into [improving] the lake, and it’s great to see it so active now.”

The lake is also one of the camp’s primary wildlife habitats. Fish, turtles and frogs can be spotted while strolling around the lake. Even if you can’t see the frogs, you can certainly hear them as you walk by at night!

Whether you’re in the mood to practice your rowing skills, play around on some giant inflatable toys, or just meditate on an incredibly relaxing dock, the Eisner Camp lake is the place to be. We know it will continue to be a popular destination for campers of all ages!
