Shalom from Eisner Camp! While you’ve been busy finishing up the school year and getting ready to go to camp, some members of our team have been training hard for the arrival of Summer 2016!

The first to arrive in Great Barrington for the summer – aside from full-time staff – were members of our support staff – those who work in our kitchen and on our grounds throughout the summer. They helped pave the way for the arrival of this summer’s Leadership Team.

Since arriving, the Leadership Team participated in trainings ranging from instilling Jewish values to camp policies and traditions. They spent an afternoon in our Low Ropes course, learning team-building and communication. The Leadership Team bonded as a group, enjoying a scavenger hunt and enjoying a “progressive dinner” around Great Barrington.

The influx of staff is only beginning! This weekend, staff from around the world joined our camp, from Israel to the United Kingdom to New Zealand. The weekend culminated in the arrival of the American coaches, instructors, and specialists for the summer, who have started their week-long training in their specialty areas.

While camp continues to wake from its winter slumber, there are still many more people who will join us in creating our “kehillah kedosha – our holy community.” The rest of the staff will arrive next Sunday, and our Machon will begin their summer experience a few days prior to one of the best days of the summer – the arrival of the campers!

June 27th is only 14 days away, and we can’t wait to see you all in the Eisner Bubble for a summer that will last a lifetime!
