URJ Eisner Camp is located in Great Barrington, MA in the beautiful Berkshire Mountains. Set on 200 of our 600-acre property, our campgrounds include a pond, streams, a waterfall, and beautiful hiking trails on East Mountain. We have many different playing courts and fields, two outdoor swimming pools, a high and low ropes course, and adventure area. We have a mix of restored original buildings as well as recently built bunks and buildings, providing both a comfortable and camp feel for all. Nestled conveniently between New York City and Boston, Great Barrington is the perfect backdrop to camp.

Manor House
This beautiful turn of the century Berkshire estate home contains more than 20 rooms of various sizes and many unique spaces to gather, meet and entertain. Formerly the home of high society, the building maintains its historical character while including modern upgrades. The housing rooms vary from private rooms to dorm style, and there are a variety of different program spaces available throughout the building. The building’s character, beauty and function make a perfect setting for your event. At capacity this building sleeps 98 people.

Kivie Kaplan Center
This building, named after civil rights activist Kivie Kaplan, offers a great retreat space to both sleep and meet. The building includes 12 guest rooms (each with private bath) and three large common/meeting rooms (one on each floor of the building including the basement). At capacity this center sleeps 48 people.

Messinger Family Machon Leadership Center
Built in 2015, this is our newest housing facility. The building includes eight cabins (each sleeping ten people in bunk beds), and four private rooms with their own bathroom (with two beds each). There are two communal bathrooms on each floor, each that are shared with two cabins. At capacity this center sleeps 88 people.

Hillside Lodge
An ideal setting for a youth group or small retreat, Hillside Lodge is a modern camp cabin featuring: 2 dorm style wings with separate restroom facilities on each side of the cabin. One private room joins the two sides of the building, usually designated for a group leader or chaperone. At capacity, the lodge sleeps 42 people.

Hillside Cabins
These nine modern cabins, including the Hillside Lodge, can house up to 180 people. Each cabin contains full bathrooms with showers, toilets, and sinks. They are well insulated and heated to provide toasty places to sleep over the winter months.

Manor House

Our turn of the century estate home is more than just a place to sleep. There are different rooms of different sizes to accommodate groups of many sizes. The entirety of the first floor of Manor House is comprised of five rooms, ranging from small and intimate to large and majestic. There is also a bathroom located on the main floor for participants to use without having to go up in to housing. WiFi is not reliable in this building.

Kivie Kaplan Center

This retreat space comes not only with 12 guest rooms, but also with a gathering space on each of the three floors of the building. Each space has ample seating space for groups. One of the gathering spaces has a bathroom attached to the public space, the other two floors utilize the bathrooms in the guest rooms. There is WiFi in this building.

Messinger Family Machon Leadership Center (MLC)

Our newest retreat facility comes with a common space large enough to fit a large group. Fully equipped with television (no cable), seating, an electric fireplace, and WiFi, this space is found on the first floor of the MLC. The bathrooms can be found near the guest rooms.

Dining Hall (Chadar Ochel)

At capacity, our dining hall can fit more than  1,000 people. During the off-season, our dining hall is segmented and climate-controlled. This allows the dining hall to be used for a variety of purposes: meals, meetings, activities, etc. Different types of tables are available.  There are bathrooms attached to the main dining area.

Beit Am

Air conditioned and heated, the Beit Am tends to be our most popular gathering space. With the ability to house over 1,000 people, projector, and sound system, this space is very versatile, and can be used for any number of needs. This building is carpeted, and there are bathrooms in the building.

Merkaz HaSport

Our fully equipped gym with weight room, aerobics rooms, and a full length basketball court, is easily convertible to volleyball or tennis court, or any other need for indoor space without a carpet. There are bathrooms and lockers in the building.

Adventure

Eisner Camp has a low ropes course, high ropes course, and adventure tower and swing to fit all of your adventure needs. Our low ropes course is our most popular of them all, and facilitates trust and bonding within your group. To use any of these parts of our camp, there must be someone certified to use our equipment. If you are interested in doing so, we have recommendations for people who are qualified to run amazing programming on our adventure equipment.

Sports Fields and Courts

We have many different sports fields and courts for use. Basketball courts, soccer fields, baseball fields, and our gaga pits are all available for use. Please just let us know before your arrival so we can be prepared with our equipment.

Hiking

Our camp is located on the East Mountain, and has multiple hiking trails on camp. There is a short 20 minute hike popular with our retreat facility guests that gives you a beautiful view of the Berkshires. Just let us know if you need recommendations for hiking!

Merkaz HaSport

Our fully equipped gym with weight room, aerobics rooms, and a full length basketball court, convertible to volleyball or tennis court.

Our Dining Hall is located in the center of our housing and indoor facilities. Our building is heated, and can seat 200 people in bench seating. We are a kosher-style facility. Although not a kosher facility, we do not serve pork or shellfish or products containing them, and we do not permit such products on camp grounds. Whenever meat is served, a kosher and vegetarian option are also offered, and a non-dairy dessert is served. We will also accommodate campers on special allergy or health-related diets. If you have any questions about dietary issues for your group, please let us know in advance so we can best fit your needs.
