Miss camp already? Your answer is right here! With school beginning and the seasons changing, parents are telling us what an incredible summer their children had and how much they miss camp! Campers miss their camp friends, their community, the adventure, Shabbat, and camp life in general. If you’re missing camp, here’s your remedy.  We’re giving you 6 ways to take camp home all year!

#1 – Reconnect with Camp Friends at a Year-Round Event!

Our year-round programming will keep you connected! Join us for our Heller-Wexler Family Retreats, be a part of the Northeast Teen Collective, and connect with NFTY in your region. Also be sure to stop by when we’re on the road promoting camp at your congregation!  See our calendar of events here. Consider getting together with your Olim Class Year, and be on the lookout for an email from your class parents!IMG_0455

#2 – Look Back at What Makes Camp Holy

Because our faculty get to peek behind the curtain at camp, they also get a front row seat to the magic as it happens. Re-read faculty reflections by Rabbi Matt Gewirtz on the Spiritual Beauty of Summer Camp!

#3 – Interact with Camp Online

All year, the conversations continue on our social media! We hope you’ll not only follow us on Facebook  and Instagram , but also post your best memories from the summer and tag us @URJEisnerCamp.

#4 – Relive the Best Memories!

Take a trip down memory lane, Brookside Road that is! Visit our blog  for a great round-up of camp memories and our Vimeo site  to watch videos from Summer 2016.IMG_8749

#5 – Give Back to Camp by Posting About Us or Donating

Do a mitzvah for camp and tell people how camp has enriched your campers’ lives. Write a positive Facebook review. Or make a one-time or monthly donation in your child’s or a counselor’s honor, or give to our scholarship fund to help others experience a summer of camp magic. We so appreciate your support!

#6 – Celebrate Shabbat Camp-Style with Family or Friends

It’s easy to bring the magic of camp to your Shabbat table with these fun tools: a copy of the blessings before the Shabbat meal that we use at Friday night dinners at camp; audio link and lyrics for Eisner’s camp blessing, Lamakom HaKadosh recipes for  our camp-style challah and Shabbat brownies  and a template for our staff “Shabbat Sha-Thank You” cards to share gratitude with family and friends!
